Oxidised gelcoat, hard water lines and winter-cracked vinyl. Priced by the foot, quoted after we see the condition, done wherever the boat is sitting.
From $18 per foot • Fully mobile • Own generator and water • Ghost, Chestermere, Sylvan, Glenmore
Boat detailing is priced by the foot, and the condition of the gelcoat sets the rate rather than the length. A 24-foot bowrider that gets rinsed after every trip on Ghost Lake and a 24-foot bowrider that has spent three summers chalking in the sun are not the same job and should not cost the same.
Boats here spend most of the year in storage and a short intense season on the water. That combination produces a specific set of problems: oxidised, chalky gelcoat from months of UV with no cover, a hard water line from Ghost, Chestermere, Sylvan and Glenmore, and interior vinyl that has been through freeze-thaw cycles all winter in an unheated lot.
Vinyl is the one most owners underestimate. Repeated freezing makes it brittle, and by the third season untreated seats start cracking at the seams. Cleaning and conditioning vinyl before storage does more for resale than anything you can do to the hull.
We come to your storage lot, your driveway or the marina, and we arrive with our own generator and water so nothing is needed from the site. The season in Alberta is short — most owners book a full detail in May before launch and a wash-and-seal in September before the boat goes away for winter. Autumn is the one that actually protects the boat, and it is the one most people skip.
